24.03.09 - InTechnology Enhances Value of Managed Services Offering with DBAM

Leading MSP becomes a DBAM Solutions Partner and plans to utilise advanced applications acceleration to deliver improved availability and traffic shaping to customers.

Wakefield, 24 March 2009 – InTechnology has been appointed as a DBAM Systems Solutions Partner, enabling the company to take full advantage of the benefits offered under the DBAM Partner Programme. The company plans to deliver additional value to its managed services customers and enhance its UK-wide network value proposition by making use of DBAM’s advanced traffic shaping and applications acceleration technologies.

The agreement underlines InTechnology’s technical competence and experience in selling, deploying and maintaining advanced networking technologies. DBAM Systems Solution Partners are required to have a minimum of four qualified staff in each of the DBAM accreditations for Sales (DCSP), Technical (DTB) and Technical Professional (DCTP).

As the UK’s leading IT services provider, InTechnology supplies medium- to large-sized corporate customers with a portfolio of managed hosting, voice and data services delivered over its own end-to-end IP network. It will incorporate a number of DBAM’s EP appliances into this infrastructure to enable higher levels of visibility and control over network traffic and ensure that it makes optimum use of available bandwidth at all times.

In addition, InTechnology will offer DBAM’s systems to complement its managed services proposition across its network, which harnesses the multi-billion pound investment BT has made into its 21CN. InTechnology recently signed a five-year agreement with BT that will enable it to deliver cost-effective Ethernet and broadband connectivity to businesses anywhere in the UK. DBAM’s EP solutions will enable it to offer enterprise-class levels of service to customers with guaranteed levels of delivery.

Bryn Sage, COO of InTechnology, states: “In today’s highly competitive managed services market it is vitally important to offer the highest levels of service delivery and value for customers. By deploying DBAM’s advanced technologies and using them to manage traffic over our network connections, we can make optimum use of all available resources. This will enable InTechnology to provide customers with the very best levels of responsiveness and performance for key services and applications. DBAM’s technology is more robust and significantly out-performs other solutions. By deploying it as part of our managed services proposition, we will be able to offer customers with more precise and defined guaranteed levels service and return on investment.”

Paris Arey, CEO of DBAM Systems says that InTechnology’s adoption of the solutions provides a clear demonstration of how the EP appliances can be used to deliver significant benefits both to managed service providers and their customers. “DBAM’s optimisation technologies are designed to underpin next generation application delivery. By integrating the EP solutions into its own network and providing them as part of their value-proposition, InTechnology can deliver massive productivity benefits and cost savings to its customers through reduced capital and infrastructure management costs. At the same time it is helping them to reduce their carbon footprint and improve the security, safety and resilience of their business by adopting a more centralised IT deployment model with built-in redundancy.”
