DBAM keeps the wheels turning in South Africa
Maxiprest South Africa would like to thank DBAM Systems, South Africa.
Maxiprest have been in business for twenty years; a company that has achieved sustained growth through industry innovations, close association and understanding of it's customer needs and growth expectations. Maxiprest's highly motivated team of dedicated professional tyre people have collectively allowed Maxiprest's customers to focus on the core elements of their businesses successfully.
An annual turnover approaching R2 billion, from over 80 branches, confirms Maxiprest to be the industry leader and provider of Tyre Management Solutions in the sub-Saharan region.
The requirements were for bandwidth management due to high network utilization. They currently run a Telkom ADSL/Diginet VPN throughout South Africa, with a 2mb link into their Head Office in Isando.
One problem experienced was that their outgoing link was running at full capacity throughout most of the day. This was made worse with the introduction of VoIP onto their network. DBAM systems installed an EP 600 onto their network. Not only were they able to see an immediate improvement but the utilization almost halved. They were able to prioritise their business applications and improve their user experience. When they tested the compression to one of their branches, still on a 64k Diginet line, this drastically improved the bandwidth utilization. In the past they had tested other bandwidth management tools, with varied results.
Maxiprest, commented:
"We can say that the DBAM product did have a positive impact on our network and we would recommend it to other companies"
