DBAM Appoints Experienced Player to Establish Strong Presence & Partnership in the Benelux RegionWakefield, 25 November 2009 – DBAM, the leading developer of advanced application acceleration technologies, has appointed Tim Hoefsloot as Regional Manager for the Benelux with the aim of establishing strong partnerships that will enable the company to develop its presence in this key region of the European market.
He is excited about joining one of the most forward-thinking and innovative companies in this fast-growing sector of the market. “DBAM’s ability to integrate acceleration into software and make it an integral part of the WAN infrastructure is unique and has phenomenal potential. Many mid-sized firms and enterprises are looking at how they can become more flexible and adaptable and, at the same time, guarantee applications availability and productivity of remote and mobile workers. DBAM’s solutions enable them to do both and thus maximise their investments in software, infrastructure and bandwidth – and in their people. I am very excited about working with DBAM and looking forward to actively developing relationships with specialist distribution and reseller partners in the Benelux region.” Hoefsloot will report directly to Mike Hemes, Regional Director of Sales for Europe at DBAM, who noted that appointment adds further strength to DBAM’s growing team of experts, “Tim has both the experience and knowledge required to help partners understand the tremendous opportunities that DBAM’s solutions present and provide the active support and development assistance that they will need to drive their sales. We’re delighted to have him on the team.” Hemes says that interest in DBAM’s solutions throughout Europe is growing rapidly quickly. “IT budgets are under constraint and organisations are starting to realize that simply throwing more bandwidth at the problem, or deploying technologies that simply accelerate all WAN traffic indiscriminately, is not the answer. A more intelligent and integrated approach is needed and that is what DBAM provides.” DBAM is expecting to see rapid growth during the next 12 months. In recent weeks the company has made a number of key management appointments and continues to recruit specialist and experienced staff. It expects to announce plans for the further expansion of its distribution network and enhancements to its channel programme in the near future. --- ends --- About DBAM DBAM is a global technology leader in WAN optimisation and application acceleration technologies. Founded in 2003 by a group of expert network technicians and developers, the company has developed a unique range of appliances that combine advanced traffic shaping and management techniques with sophisticated compression and caching to deliver unprecedented levels of guaranteed bandwidth availability and consistent performance of mission-critical systems. The company’s EP range of appliances provide WAN optimisation and application acceleration solutions that deliver massive efficiency improvements in bandwidth utilisation. Tests performed by leading independent testing organisation Tolly Group have shown that DBAM’s technology can accelerate data transmissions by up to 174 times over a WAN connection and increase available bandwidth by up to 23,000 times for Windows File System and email. DBAM’s solutions are available through a select group of distributors and channel partners throughout the UK, Europe and South Africa.
