Q. What does the Active flows Screen show?
A. Active flows allows administrator to view the current flows passing through, the Each node in the tree can be interrogated in different ways and have different operations On an IP address
- Show all the return flows to the address
- Assign a bandwidth rule to that IP address
- Block traffic for that IP address
- Do a DNS lookup on the IP address
- Do a NetBIOS/active directory lookup on the IP address
- Locate what country the IP address belongs to
The flows may also be viewed as bar charts or pie charts. The above diagram shows the flows in upstream and downstream views. By click on the Pie segments one can drill down into to items involved in a flow of traffic and there byte and packet count.
